Sometimes its hard to imagine there is anything different than what you have always known and even if it's hurtful, unsatisfying or downright bleak, what is familiar can be a kind of comfort. 'Better the devil you know than the devil you don't', as the saying goes. That little voice inside of you yearning for more- for better can call unanswered for an eternity because we are afraid we will find ourselves lost if we begin the journey toward something we have never known, being urged by a voice we're not sure we can trust- and can sometimes just barely hear...

But the truth is that everyone has a garden.

It takes no small leap of faith to find the door that leads to yours.

Even when you get there, you might not recognize it. Might not ever guess that once you open that cracked and fading gate you will find yourself standing right next to your true self.

The paths and portals all look different, so you can only ever get general directions and encouragement, but persevere and you will arrive.

Don't be sad if at first you don't see anyone you know. Everyone moves at a different pace and is heading to a different garden, so just do what others did for you; point in the direction of your best guess and offer incentive to continue their journey by letting them into in your garden. Tell them the story of your journey to find it (add the funny bits as well because believe me, that helps) and remind them that going in circles for a while is fine too.
