Earth Day

Remnants of the pancake breakfast...

Children believe in everything. They are certain the force of their will alone can change the course of any event.

If someone paints a butterfly (or a tiger...) on a child's face- they become the butterfly.

Children are beautiful simply because they are- but also, their sense of hope is absolute and their strength is impenetrable. They don't know how to be afraid of failing. If you say, 'Look, we're doing some stuff wrong and we need to change things.', a kid will say, 'Okay, let's stop doing the wrong things'. If you answer by telling them how it's just not that easy, they will look at you like you just don't get it because you are obviously not in the correct grade level.

The point is, we're probably all gonna need to get back that kind of belief, courage and simple, clear thinking again if we want to effect any kind of meaningful change. Here is some inspirational and heartfelt art to help us along...
