Well. I got into massive disagreements right off the bat- "all these things we can control- design cities (like- Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Cairo, all of Bangladesh...) the houses we live in (ditto), the market, the economy"... um. Really?? So many things in that list that are totally escaping "control". Also not sure he's hoping to reach with this; the choir is already on board... :-)
Day #377; My diabolical plan to fan the flames and keep the dialogue going seems to be working. I don't believe my true intention is in any danger of being revealed since the resulting discourse is fevered and emphatic. All participants seem equally invested in vociferous defense of their respective viewpoints. ;)
ho. :-) Thing is, when flames are fanned, the result is likely not "dialogue" but "diatribe"... need to keep the terminology straight!
I stand corrected! Lolol...
shoulda said "may be capable of controlling" would have been clearer. but the central point--that even if we DO manage to control all these things, it means nothing if we don't stop making more and more and more people--is hard to argue with.
As a member of The Voluntary Human Extinction Movement, I agree.
