Made me smile. Trends and "innovation" in music fascinate me. This one seems to be a step further on the current "no melody!" direction. Going to have to start going the other way before long. Country music is pretty much devoid of melody now; it resembles operatic recitative somewhat. Ah, for Rodgers and Hammerstein. :-)
